Miranda is an extremely talented, thoughtful, generous, and humane artist. She has a lightness of touch, compassion, and gentle sense of humor -- which truly come through in the pictures. She takes the time to make your shots look beautiful, real, honest, and memorable.

Miranda has a way of relating to animals that allows her to capture a multi-dimensional aspect of each animal she photographs. Depending on the situation she seems to be able to create a mood in her pictures that sets them apart from so many other pet photographers.

As a musician, it was great fun to have a photo session with a fellow musician. It put me at ease, and the results were exactly what I had hoped for. Everything was signed, sealed and delivered within days of my initial inquiry too, which puts Miranda Loud at the top of my list!”

Miranda Loud’s photographs make me look even more ravishingly beautiful than I actually am…!

Miranda worked so well with my daughter during the session, and we had trouble choosing which photos, because they were all so good!

I felt so at ease with Miranda and she was able to work magic with her lighting and retouching. I’ve been recommending her to all my friends for headshots, weddings and pet photography.

Miranda Loud is a consummate professional with the warmth and enthusiasm of an old friend. I needed head shots for my website and the dust jacket of my soon-to-be-published book, and I wanted something that looked professional but not stagey. Miranda worked with me in several outdoor locations to capture exactly what I wanted. She made suggestions based on her experience in portraiture that never would have occurred to me, and which resulted in a number of excellent photographs. In fact, there are so many good ones, I’m having trouble choosing my favorite, and I usually don’t like the way I look in pictures.

In the course of working with her, I also checked out the portraits of pets she has on her website, and was impressed with how she managed to capture so much of an animal’s personality in a single shot.

To sum up: the process was fun, and the final product was terrific.

I hired Miranda Loud to photograph my son’s bris (circumcision ceremony) in Dec. 2012. In a word, she was brilliant. She captured the textures of the day -- spiritual, emotional, psychological -- in a way that focused on sentiment rather than sentimentality: there is, in short, nothing cliché about her work. She has a wonderful eye for the things that matter and a marvelous way of homing in on the elements (people, moments, décor, light) that make the day so special. My husband and I marveled about how she managed to evoke the personalities of our children so beautifully: she has an intuitive sense for people and an incredible way of grasping the essential parts of their personalities. Needless to say, many of her photos, both photojournalistic shots and portraits, now feature among our family favorites. She also does what a good photojournalistic photographer should, remaining unobtrusive while embedded in the action.  She folded into the events (and delicate ones at that!) organically, and gave us memories of the day that we would never have had otherwise. The day went by in such a blur, and I was grateful that Miranda was there to record with great sensitivity its many emotions and images. I’d also add that her turnaround time was fast: she worked long hours to edit the photos, and had a web album and video photo-collage online for us soon after the event. Her pricing was reasonable and affordable, and she worked with us to create a photo album and individual prints that were within our budget.

I’m thrilled with her work and would happily have her do another shoot with us again.

Miranda Loud is an amazing photographer!  We recently had a family photo shoot with her and I recommend her whole-heartedly.  She is great working with kids.  My toddlers were at ease with her and had a lot of fun, which resulted in wonderful photos we’ll cherish for years to come.  She is professional, easy to communicate with, and very talented.

Because of my work, I’ve had a number of professional photographs taken, but never like this. After a relaxing and hugely fun shoot in and outside of her Boston-area studio, Miranda Loud sent me the absolute best photos I have ever had done. Usually my problem in picking photos is there are not enough good ones that really convey who I am.  In this case the issue was there were so many good ones to choose from that it was actually hard to pick a few to use for my website. I think her ability to completely relax the subject and do whatever it takes to get good shots, go a long way toward make her a stand-out photographer. She is also reasonably priced and will help you through the process of making good choices with the photos you decide to use.

We chose Miranda Loud Photography to do our wedding pictures and were very pleased with the service and the variety of shots. Miranda was very attentive and skilfully edited the ones we chose for prints. Besides the shots of the wedding ceremony and guests, the romantic “extra” portraits are special. The gallery was online very quickly and easy to navigate. So many good photos, it was hard to choose our favorites!
